It took less than a minute for Leonardo Campana to make a difference tonight. He scored the winner in the 94th minute, and you can see emotions pouring out in his celebration. Currently a Young DP for Inter Miami and once a breakout star for Ecuador, he’s too good for a bench role in MLS. This is his story. Campana comes from a wealthy and powerful family in Ecuador. His father is a former tennis star turned politician. His grandfather was the president of Ecuadorian wide Barcelona SC. His great grandfather won six league titles as player. The forward is also related to current Ecuador president. Campana showed a lot of promise as a teenager, and was one of the breakout stars in the 2019 U-20 World Cup.
