Therapy started for us early. When Sam was just a few weeks old, her pediatrician told us she needed to gain weight and fast! We found an amazing feeding therapist and that started our journey with therapy. She then needed physical therapy and occupational therapy to work on her gross and fine motor skills. Feeding therapy turned into speech therapy. She has also had swim and horse therapy. You can see in this video of her practicing her Special Olympics cheer, how therapy has helped her. Her speech is clear and she is physically active! Our therapists did even more than that, they taught us how to play with her in a way that actually worked on her goals and they helped us learn sign language! Sam still has speech and PT. I don’t know where we would be without therapists ❤️.
