Let's Play Ball!!! Part 2! In the Summer of 2012 Markham was contracted by Hunt Construction Group and the City of Mesa to build the Cubs Spring Training Facility and ensure it would be ready for 2013 Spring Training. We again hit this one out of the ball park, work was completed in time for the 2013 Spring Training season. A few interesting highlights - The property we turned into the Cubs spring training facility, was a City of Mesa golf course. That means we had to drain and backfill a giant lake and 2 small ponds. We saved 9 turtles that lived in the lake!! We preformed all the grading work for this project which included but not limited to ( because there was A LOT of grading) all fields, the new lake, the new park, parking lots, soccer fields, and excavating & back filling the landfill we discovered. #markhamcontractingco #baseball #chicagocubs
