“My Mom has taught me that a strong work ethic conquers all and she continues to push me to try my best; she has supported me even when I have come up short.
“The thing I am most blessed to have is someone who has always believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.”
Those were among the closing words of gratitude delivered by Simon Gates ’24 near the end of Saturday afternoon’s Baccalaureate Mass honoring the Class of 2024.
“Finally, I would like to say, to God, to our family and friends, and most especially to our Moms – thank you, on behalf of your sons. At this time, the members of the Class of 2024 would like to show an expression of our gratitude. We offer a rose to you, the special people in our lives who have guided us through the journey these past four years.”
