Celebrating GoDucks #Groundbreakers In 1960, Otis Davis became the University of Oregon’s first Olympic gold medalist when he won the 400 meters and 4x400m relay in Rome. He originally arrived in Eugene on a basketball scholarship, however Bill Bowerman convinced him to try out for the track team and the rest was history. Davis was inducted into the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2003. #BlackHistoryMonth #GoDucks
