The Dead performed a day-show at the University of California, Santa Barbara, to a crowd of 15,000 on this day in 1973. One of five shows included in the ‘Here Comes Sunshine’ box set released in 2023, the 3 sets were complimented by easy-breezy weather, a 20-minute face-melting “Playing In The Band,” and an encore of “Johnny B.
