My hometown Lahti is European Green Capital 2021 - as the first city in Finland. Lahti is a real pioneer in environmental activities and serves as an example to other cities. Lahti won #EGCA2021 competition because of its great deeds, such as saving the Lake Vesijärvi and developing circular economy models. The city also leads the way by becoming carbon neutral 2025 as the first major city in Finland.
