Roll call! Sam Summers is a scientist and para-athlete based out of Longmont, Colorado. In her free time, Sam enjoys mountain biking, skiing, surfing, and sled hockey. Sam promotes the High Fives Foundation, the Kelly Brush Foundation, and Craig Hospital -organizations that have supported her and others who have sustained life-changing, permanent disabilities. Although Foco Fondo added a para category last year, we realized that we don’t understand the nuances of the many categories for para athletes. This initiative aims to provide para athletes with a para leader they can contact for questions and also to audit and suggest changes to the FoCo Fondo event and courses so we can better serve this community.
