Just two weeks ago on April 3, Bergen MSA hosted an Iftar gathering to break the fast during Ramadan. Torch members who attended the event stated that after the prayer led by the Imam was done, they all ate and celebrated.🎉 🧆 🥗Some of the most popular dishes prepared during Iftar include koshari (Egyptian rice, lentils, and pasta), vegetable samosas (vegetable pastries), roti, rice jollof (tomato-based rice), aloo tikki (potato cakes), and many more! At the Bergen MSA Iftar gathering specifically, Basmati rice, chicken, couscous, falafel, and veggies was served- some catered and some made by the students themselves. 🍰🎂Dessert was also enjoyed after this heavier meal. Various traditional desserts for Ramadan are qatayef with cream, umm ali, and Halawet al jibn. To end off the BCC Iftar celebration, the Bergen MSA members and invitees all delighted in caramel vermicelli and other very delicious desserts.
