On the morning of October 7th, rocket sirens sounded, and Arik Kraunik, the head of security for Be’eri, jumped into action as he sensed something was wrong. Arik immediately called neighboring Kibbutzim while successfully thwarting terrorists attempting to infiltrate Be’eri. Tragically, Arik may have become the first casualty in the war, but Arik was the first to save hundreds, if not thousands, as he alerted the rest of the country of what was happening.
