More than 5,000 children suffer sudden cardiac arrest each year outside of a hospital setting, according to the American Heart Association. Together with Project ADAM, we are urging school districts to prepare for the possibility of a student experiencing sudden cardiac arrest on school grounds. WMCHealth recently donated multiple CPR training aids and AEDs to Project ADAM and in partnership with The City School District of New Rochelle, we went to the Boys & Girls Club in New Rochelle to provide “Heart Safe” training to community members.
