Tomorrow I am swimming with Swim Across America to raise money for cancer research at Vanderbilt University in honor of my dear friend Michelle Allison who passed away nearly 3 years ago from a rare form of pancreatic cancer. Michelle’s treatment at Vanderbilt Hospital lasted approximately 10 years. The procedures and treatments were tough at best, but gave Michelle a fighting chance and time….the most precious commodity of all, that allowed her to see her kids make it thru school to early adulthood. She left a profound hole in our group of friends that words cannot express. Please join me in supporting my effort to help cancer centers like Vanderbilt give people a chance to win their fight against cancer, regain their health and have the time they deserve to live their lives to the fullest.
