Rivier University has announced Marykate Drinkwater as head coach of the Women’s Ice Hockey program.
Drinkwater served as graduate assistant for the Women’s Ice Hockey team at Western New England the previous three seasons. She helped the team to a 17-8-3 record this past season & clinch the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason championship in only its third season of
#NCAA competition. Drinkwater assisted with practices and games, film review, recruiting and aiding with administrative duties.
Drinkwater, a Franklin, MA native, is a 2020 graduate of the University of New England with a bachelor’s degree in Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies while earning a minor in Coaching. She ranks second all-time in Nor’easters Women’s Ice Hockey team history with 107 games played while accumulating 30 points (13 G / 17 A) and earning an All-America Scholar distinction as a senior from the
#AHCA.
