"I am the youngest of 8 grandchildren by at least 10 years on my mother’s side. My grandma and I were very close when I was younger, having many sleepovers, talking on the phone, going to yard sales, helping her in the garden, or going for lunch. My grandma already had a grandchild’s birthstone ring with all my cousins stones before I came along. She got this ring made so she had my birthstone as well. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with dementia a few years back and no longer wears the ring. When I got married In June I wanted to wear something of my grandmothers since she wouldn’t be in attendance to my wedding. My aunt let me wear the ring on my wedding day, then during the reception, she told me I could keep the ring. Now I wear it every day."
