In celebration of Black History Month, Nubian Message is highlighting Black professors at NC State in our new series called Blackademics. For this feature we have Dr. Alexandra Graves. Stay tuned to hear from more professors 💚 Dr. Alexandria Graves was the first Black faculty member in Soil Science and the third woman in the department. She served as Director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for about 8-9 years. In addition to being an Associate Professor of Soil and Environmental Microbiology, she also worked as a Student Equity & Access Specialist.
