In celebration of Black History Month, Nubian Message is highlighting Black professors at NC State in our new series called Blackademics. For this feature we have Dr. Ariel Seay-Howard. Stay tuned to hear from more professors 💚 Dr. Ariel E. Seay-Howard is an assistant professor of race, rhetoric, and communication in the communication department at North Carolina State University. She studies how the public remembers slavery and racial violence through memory spaces and material objects. Her research agenda is motivated by the desire to understand how racial violence has and continues to impact the African American community.
