We tell our goaltenders that sightlines, understanding shooting lanes, and weight transfer are paramount to your success in these situations. What makes this save so impressive is this scenario ends up being a “flash screen,” as the Chicago player perfectly times his roll through Kevin’s sightline off the release. Notice Kevin’s work to get a sightline, composure, and well timed shift.
