This picture was taken at a WW2 memorial in Kharkiv, Ukraine, which taught us the sad history of the 1940s. I had the blessing to learn 3 languages in this beautiful city. English, Ukrainian, and Russian are 3 languages that have been shaping my identity, culture, and my worldview. My worldview has been shattered into pieces, and my identity has been deeply hurt.
