#RAISEIT65 AND BREATHE!! The Pirates escaped the tight 9th inning, sneaking past the Giants 4-2 for the series win in yesterday’s finale! Quite a strong performance from Joe Musgrove this time around, especially battling through injury. Joe was able to put together five scoreless innings, striking out 7 in a complete effort by the 26 year old. His line: 5 IP, 4 H, 0 R/ER, 0 BB, 7 SO. The offense acted sporadically throughout the game, scoring in one run intervals at various points during the contest. Jacob Stallings most notably went 2-4 with a HR, his second dinger of the series and the 6th of the 2019 season. Adam Frazier, Kevin Kramer, and Jose Osuna all drove in runs as well. Gotta bring out this fact as we are talking Bucco bats: Joe Musgrove tripled (into triples alley at Oracle Park ironically) and became the first Pirate pitcher to hit a 3-bagger since Brian Burres did so in 2010.
