When I was told I had been accepted into Indoor World Champs last week, my initial thoughts were “I don’t belong there, I’m undeserving”. The negative feelings eventually turned to excitement and gratitude. I was going to Worlds!!! But after a poorly executed race, I took some time to feel all the feels. Dissappointed with the result but still proud of myself for accepting the challenge. It’s always an honor to represent the Philippines on the highest stage of athletics! It was also meaningful to be the only Asian runner in the field.
