Earlier this month, we were thrilled to welcome the nine residents of our Contemporary Performing Arts Research Residency 2024! On top of a welcome lunch hosted at practicetuckshop, some of our residents came for a tour of our venues at Esplanade, such as the new Singtel Waterfront Theatre. Supported by Esplanade and nacsingapore, this cycle marks the second edition of Esplanade’s Contemporary Performing Arts Research Residency. Themed Decentering Access, the residency aims to support artists and researchers as they engage with the term “access” in various contexts. The residency provides the time and space for artistic inquiry, dialogue and development, culminating in a series of public programmes.
