One of the goals of this delegation was to meet with people and organizations who may not often have their story told. Today we met with a very small order of nuns, The Little Sisters of Jesus of Charles de Foucauld and shared stories, laughed, and sang. There may have been more than a dozen languages in the room, so we first hummed and then we were invited to sing in English. This order is one that practices a ministry of presence with the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and they were awesome. On the Nakba it was a powerful song of beauty, grace, and solidarity in the midst of ongoing pain, displacement, and occupation.
