A collection of landowners, local communities & more are gathering to rewild a section of the Scottish Highlands.
Rewilding is a form of conservation that takes immediate, actionable steps to restore land to its natural state, and the Affric Highlands project is doing just that across half a million acres of land from Loch Ness to the country's western shore. Conservationists would be planting millions of native trees, resetting peatlands and wildlife officials will help protect native species.
& if it all goes to plan, they'll be able to rewild more than 30% of the area by 2030. Read more about this movement in our link in bio!
