Seth Trimble has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal and will return to the UNC men’s basketball program, the rising junior guard announced on Tuesday. The announcement comes exactly two weeks after Trimble originally entered the portal. “I’ve taken time to realize where my home is,” Trimble said. “After much consideration, I’ve decided my heart and soul belong in Chapel Hill. Tar Heel Nation, let’s work.” The younger brother of former Tar Heel standout J.P. Tokoto, Trimble appeared in 68 games in the past two seasons for Carolina. Mainly known as a defensive specialist, Trimble averaged 17.1 minutes per game this season, nearly double his total as a true freshman. Trimble also increased his scoring to 5.2 points per game and made 13 of his 31 three-point attempts (41.9 percent).
