Unpopular opinion: One of the most important skills in traveling is knowing when to put the camera away.
We all want to document our trips, but there's a line between saving your memories and taking advantage of the place you're in. A good rule of thumb: Buildings, scenery, animals are fair game. People? Not so much.
The locals are not attractions, no matter how they look or how much you feel they want to "show off their culture." Basic rule of thumb: Ask permission before taking of photo of or with anyone specifically. If that doesn't feel comfortable, best to redirect your camera somewhere else.
