On this #EarthDay we are excited to reveal a very first glimpse behind the scenes of the Cape Town puppetry workshop of our 2025 climate action project THE HERDS. the__herds will be public art and climate activism on an unprecedented scale. In Spring 2025, across 15 countries from Central Africa to the furthest tip of Europe, massive herds of life-size puppet animals will invade city centres as they journey north, fleeing the depredation of their environments. Throughout human history, storytelling has been a catalyst for change. We will harness its power to create engagement on a scale never previously attempted. THE HERDS is an invitation for communities, climate experts and organisations, artists, youth movements and civil society from Kinshasa to Tromsø to join together, awakening us to the urgency of our common situation.
