On Saturday, over 100 coaches, trainers, and former players attended the 5th edition of our Coaches Series hosted by the NBPA. We heard from 3 different speakers - Jimmy Russomano from HSS, Kenny Atkinson of the Warriors, and Jay Hernandez of the Nets. Jimmy’s opening session was a much-needed addition to the Coaches Series, as he covered the importance of a proper warm-up, preventative programming for players of all ages, and provided our coaches with practical tools to assist in each process. Long Island native Kenny Atkinson talked about the principles of the game and decision making. He has over 17 years of experience in the NBA, including four seasons as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and currently serves as the lead assistant coach of the Warriors, winning a championship in 2022.
