You know I had to stop for a visit on the Appalachian Trail on my way to Trail Days! What I had initially planned as just a weekend in Maryland for a friend’s wedding turned into a week and a half of travel with my acceptance into Trail Days, where I got to see a bunch of old friends, hike in Shenandoah National Park, backpack the Virginia Triple Crown Loop, and finally, sell my Appalachian Trail memoir in the author’s corner of Trail Days, where I got to hang out with a bunch of amazing hikers and writers and meet some incredible people that I know/ know me from social media. What a whirlwind!! Anyway these pics are from the Virginia Triple Crown where I revisited the Dragon’s Tooth, McAfee Knob, and Tinker Cliffs with chasingtrailsart, rnboni, harryfalse, and Jukebox, and timed just right to see some of the AT’s wildflowers that I love so dearly. 🌸💖 The Dragon’s Tooth was a tougher climb than I remembered!
