#lostspecies had disappeared and was believed to be Extinct for several decades. Yellow-tailed Woolly Monkeys are only found in the montane forests of Peru and continue to face threats from habitat destruction. As a result, they have lost 80% of their habitat. We join the Peruvian conservation organization yunkawasi in calling for immediate conservation actions to prevent their extinction.
