Providence is proud to be the presenting sponsor of Shades of Motherhood Network's Black Maternal Health Week (April 11 – 17). As part of our partnership, Providence hosted the Shades of Joy art exhibit at our hospitals to allow caregivers the opportunity to learn about Black and Brown individuals during the birthing journey. According to the cdcgov, Black women are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than White women.
