Teams comprised of four high school students working under a two-hour time constraint were given an assortment of newswire stories and asked to edit, write and stack a 3:00 newscast. After two hours, the students moved into the TV studio where students took their places as either one of two Anchors, a Floor Director or Technical Director. Once in position, the students had 20 minutes to rehearse and record their 3:00 minute newscast. It’s an action packed two and a half hours of pure excitement and adrenaline as the students work together as a team to showcase the skills and expertise they’ve developed in their local school's AVTF program.
Congratulations to award winners Jones County, White County, Calhoun High School and all of the other high school teams that competed in this years SkillsUSA Georgia Region and State Championships.
