Jimmy Kimmel, the host of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” recently returned from a family trip to Japan and made controversial comments about the state of the U.S. upon his return. Kimmel, who had been on a seven-day trip to Japan, expressed his surprise at the country’s cleanliness. He contrasted this with what he perceived as the filthiness of the U.S. “After traveling to Japan, I realize that this place, this USA we’re always chanting about, is a filthy and disgusting country,” Kimmel said on his show. The host, who had previously considered the U.S. as “pretty buttoned up” compared to other countries, was taken aback by the cleanliness of Japan.” He remarked, “It’s like the whole country is Disneyland, and we’re living at Six Flags.” #jimmykimmel #japan
