It’s truly impressive what the creatives in Gainesville have been doing the past couple of years, and getting a chance to see it in person this past weekend was 🥹😍. On April 13th, Dion Dia & How Bazar presented Big: Culture & Arts Festival in Downtown Gainesville! This year they invited artists from ALL over Florida to participate & pairing them with nationally touring acts like Madison McFerrin, Nick Hakim, Wahid, Kaelin Ellis, Chuck Strangers & They Hate Change. *for rest of the images, they’re linked in my bio or cre8jax.com Most people’s initial thought of Gainesville is student life / UF - but what happens when you stay in Gainesville after you’re finished? The co-founders of Dion Dia (Laila Fakhoury, Jahi Khalfani, Khary Khalfani) were set out to answer that question by staying after graduation, building community & a record label.
