We had a chance to go and grab some pictures of the experience, as well as the VR experience, which focuses more on Van Gogh. Monet was interested in capturing fleeting moments and transient effects, such as the changing play of light on water or the shifting colors of a sunrise or sunset. This focus on capturing the immediacy of a scene marked a departure from the more static and idealized compositions of academic art. He emphasized spontaneity, the play of light and color, and the direct observation of nature, which ultimately laid the groundwork for the Impressionist movement. #cre8jax
