Sergei Bobrovsky utilizing the Two-Step or, as we like to call it, loaded shuffle to get into perfect balanced position to control the shot. The advantage of the two-step is it allows you to keep your feet underneath of you and not get as opened up. While you’re transitioning, it allows you to shift into the shot or be able to transition back across with the play rather quickly. Kudos to client snelly_35 for sending me this clip and making the astute observation. My good friend, former student, and highly regarded colleague and tremendous Coach hc_traktor petergoaliecoach sat down with me over dinner a couple of years ago and really detailed the benefits of this technique.
