Mr. Cifuentes and Mrs. Lohwater are currently leading the Lions Roam course “Past and Present of Ecuador and The Galapagos.” The group, which includes 10 students, spent their first day exploring Quito, a UNESCO World Heritage City. They took a gondola ride to take in mountain views and visited the old city, which features cathedrals from the 1500s, beautiful plazas, and other amazing sites. Highlights for the rest of the trip include learning about medicinal plants and visiting a local indigenous school in San Clemente, visiting Cotopaxi National Park and Limpiopungo Lake, and observing birds, fish, and tortoises in the Galapagos. #smlionpride #smlionterm 🦁 🌏 #smlearns
