About a week ago I was asked to do something very different from what I’m used to. I was asked to map a very large section of the LA River by drone but not just fly over it, but provide a full resolution image to view of the areas and create a version in 3d as well with pin point location data to know exactly where the images were taken. ⁣ ⁣ This is something I’ve never done before and without thinking about it I said I’d do it! I had no idea how, but I knew I’d figure it out. 24 hours later I was test flying over a local park to learn this new software and technique to capture this scale of a project. ⁣ I pulled this whole project off in one day, 7 flights and over 2,000 images (was a hell of a time organizing the images). But this is one of the main reasons I love this industry as it pushes you to do things and learn new techniques with almost every client that comes your way.
