HAPPENINGS. A new exhibition is coming to the Sikh Heritage Museum this month - Marriages and Migration: A Transnational Story of BC. Using photographs from the Del Monte collection, this exhibit offers another perspective into Punjabi Sikh wedding ceremonies from the 1960s - 1990s. Complementary to this exhibition, on Saturday, July 22nd, the City of Abbotsford, in collaboration with the Khalsa Diwan Society and the South Asian Studies Institute, is unveiling three commemorative panels and renaming a section of South Fraser Way in memorial and honour of those lost in the Komagata Maru tragedy.
