📍 “The Narrows” at Zion National Park is one of Utah’s busiest hikes! Here’s how we enjoyed the majority without crowds—🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️.

1️⃣ Pick Up Gear the Night Prior
Hiking for miles in rushing water, over loose boulders, can do a number on your 👣—and can be a real challenge if you have weak ankles 🙋🏻♀️. Many local sports outfitters offer a solution:
•
🔸Sturdy water shoes, neoprene socks, and thick walking sticks (that don’t slip between the rock cracks) can all be rented: $32 USD (for all 3). We saw folks going barefoot and that looked PAINFUL!
•
🔸Pick up gear as late as 8pm the night prior! This ensures you can hit the trail early the following day. (Taking the 7am shuttle was ideal for us!)
•
🔸 We selected zionoutfitter because they stay open late, and are located next to the Visitors Center — steps from the ‘Watchman Campground’, which we love!
•
2️⃣ Ride the Park Shuttle to the Last Stop!
