Whitney is a a 22 mile trail in California’s stunning Sierra Nevada Mountains (just south of Yosemite!)— • Here’s 3 Things to Know if You Want to Hike it!✌️ • 1️⃣ Anyone else hike for views?? 🙋🏻‍♀️—for me, knowing you’ll get the MOST INSANE view of Sequoia National Park, made it worth the challenge. You’ll enter Sequoia National Park RIGHT after the grueling 99 switchbacks—at mile 9—when you’ll NEED a pick me up! 🤯🤩 • 2️⃣ A trusty headlamp or lantern’s critical—be prepared to hike in the dark! Be safe and be sure to have extra batteries or your headlamps fully charged. We trust our rechargeable biolite —no batteries needed ♻️. • 3️⃣ Overnight permits are 🔑— while you CAN hike all 22 miles in one day, it’s soooo worth it to try to get an overnight permit ⛺️.
