Did you hear guys?! It snowed in Bryce Canyon! If you want to see white on the
#hoodoos this winter, here’s a few tips — save for future adventures!
•
❄️ Bryce can get as cold as -26 F. In the morning here (2 winters ago) we hiked in -2 F 🥶. Plan for a cold visit—it’s ALL about stayin cozy in those layers! I think I had 5 layers ⬆️😂. It also makes it easy to peal off as it warms up!
•
🥾 Bring microspikes! I would not have felt comfortable hiking into the (sometimes icy) hoodoos if not for our metal spikes that easily grip to your boots.
•
📍Hike Navajo Loop Trail. Its 1.3 miles and so so gorgeous. In the winter, you may also have it to yourself! No one was edited out of this pic☝️.
•
⚠️Always check winter road conditions to know which roads are open. I’ve found that Bryce’s Twitter feed, ‘Bryce Canyon NP’ provides great weather and road updates.
•
🌅Catch an epic sunset at ‘sunrise’ point—I know, it’s confusing, but trust us! 🤩
