At the Park’s south entrance is open dispersed camping. You’ll find tents, vans, RV’s —even on crowded weekends you can spread out and be respectful of your neighbors. If you’re not familiar, ‘dispersed’ ⛺️ means you can park & camp anywhere—as long as you pack out everything you pack in ♻️. • 🥾 Sunset Spot—‘Mastadon Peak’ is a 2.3 mile loop near the campsite. You’ll score an epic view of the Salton Sea! DON’T forget your headlamp to safely return—It gets dark by 4:30pm in winter so we always have our rechargeable BIOLITE.
