How to visit
#California’s most elusive National Park?? Well, we haven’t actually been to the Channel Islands —our trip was cancelled this weekend while waiting to board 🛳😢🌊. BUT while the day didn’t go as planned.... we want to share all we learned (SAVE for future adventures!):
•
HOW TO PLAN A TRIP to
#ChannelIslandsNationalPark—
•
🛳 Only one company, islandpackers provides transportation to the islands. Ports are located in Oxnard & Ventura.
•
⏱ Boats are currently limited to 50% capacity and often there’s only☝️trip a day, so book EARLY!
•
🏝There are 5 islands in total, but
#Anacapa’s the closest. The 1 hour boat ride’s the easiest for a day trip and costs $62💰. This is unless you can charter your own boat 😉.
•
⛺️Camp on the islands! We hear camping on Santa Cruz Island’s the best—Visit
NPS.org to reserve a spot!
•
🥪However you visit, pack lots of food & water—there are no stores on the small islands.
•
📍🏝Did you know there’s a small National Park off the coast of Calif...
