She began dancing at Larkin Dance Studio as a toddler and continued through her senior year of high school. After graduating from Mahtomedi High School, Mackenzie went on to the University of Minnesota where she danced on the National Champion dance team for two years. While finishing college she joined her mother, Molly, and aunt, Michele, teaching, choreographing and running the studio at Larkin as the next generation successor in the family-owned business. Mackenzie choreographs award winning competitive dances for Larkin Dance Studio as well as for high schools and colleges nationwide including the 2019 National Champions, University of Minnesota.
