Kid-friendly car camping! This is our setup for 3 people (2 adults and 1 child) in a 5th gen 4Runner. The most important part of this is the mattress! We bring a fitted sheet usually but I forgot it this time 🤪 You’re going to forget stuff sometimes… that’s ok! My 3 year old Teddy doesn’t love the dark so we make it fun with colored string lights (linked on my Amazon shop). You can use 3m command hooks on plastic parts of the interior to secure these if that helps. Teddy has a lantern from Target along with his pillow from home, fav stuffed toys and his go-to blankie. Bring as many comforts from home as you can! I love the sound of nature but for the sake of it sounding like home for Teddy’s comfort we run a fan that also keeps the air from getting stale.
