Hi, my name is Bailey Bodart and I am a senior on the Men’s Swim and Dive Team here at UWM. I have experienced some of the most exciting moments of my life through swimming competitively, and I am so happy to have the opportunity to continue my swimming career as a Panther. My best memories are not the tough practices or tiring meets, but rather the time I’ve spent with my teammates. They’re in the moments after a great race, when a teammate achieves something that once seemed impossible. It’s that surprise and excitement that keeps me coming back to this sport everyday. As much as there’s joy in swimming, there’s also disappointment. Not every race can be amazing. However, with teammates and family around, I find that the disappointment never lasts too long. It only serves as a motivation to improve. I am studying mechanical engineering and will be finishing up an internship at the end of this summer.
