HAPPY INDIAN ARRIVAL DAY 🇬🇾 May 5th, 1838 is when the first ship from India arrived in Guyana which begun our long and storied history w/ indentured servitude on the sugar plantations. Through it all I’m blessed to have been born into a culture that is so vibrant in its people, food, music and roots so here’s a tb of just that w my gorgeous mama and brother.
