📸: redhawksofmontclairstate “Carpe Diem”/ "Seize the Day" In High School, the idea of going to college was terrifying to me. I wanted to enlist in the military and put an end to furthering my education. However, in my last semester of high school, I enrolled in the fire academy and became a certified firefighter for my town. I applied to MSU to continue my education as well as for my love for public service and safety. Becoming involved on campus has given me the opportunities to study criminal justice for my degree, get involved with campus socially and in the public safety aspect for my job. I love waking up every day not knowing what the day will bring and what doors will open for me here at MSU. Working for the Montclair State Fire Safety division has helped me further my skills in the fire service as well as spread awareness and help students be safe here on campus.
