It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing.” - Pele That quote really resonates with me because upon attending Montclair, I had no prior knowledge of what to expect in college. Being the first person in my family to attend college, I had the mindset that once I got here, everything would just click and make sense. I assumed that I would automatically feel comfortable, and the classes would be easy. Little did I know that it would be the complete opposite and that I would face many roadblocks before I could reap the benefits of success. During my time, I had to take my uncomfortableness and use it as motivation to excel in my studies and opportunities at Montclair State. I had to really immerse myself in my studies and put in a lot of hard work along with sacrifice. Reflecting now as I approach my 4th year at Montclair, I am genuinely grateful for all of the opportunities...
