Let them eat cake! 🍰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We get a lot of questions from couples, surrounding the cake, during our timeline development. When to cut it, what's the tradition, should we announce it? The short answer is, it's YOUR day and you can craft your timeline to suit your wishes. Traditionally, the cake is cut one hour prior to the end of the wedding. This serves as a silent clue that guests can start heading home if they'd like, especially if they are not planning to stay for the after party. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You certainly can stray from tradition however, and we have had many couples who have wanted to get the "formalities" of the evening out of the way so that they can dance the rest of the night away. In this case we would serve the cake immediately after dinner service, following any remaining dances - such as the father/daughter dance etc. Many couples opt to have the band or DJ announce the cake cutting so that guests can watch and enjoy.
